The Askariyyain Holy Shrine continues its development efforts to enhance services for its honored visitors, as the Engineering Affairs Department announced progress in the preparation of a new green space designated for visitors’ rest, covering an area of 1,500 square meters.
Engineer Haider Sabri, head of the Implementation Division, stated that the new space is part of the shrine’s plan to provide a comfortable environment that aligns with the spirit of visitation. He noted that it will include green gardens, shaded seating areas to protect visitors from the sun, as well as drinking and ablution places, along with fully equipped sanitary facilities—all designed in a modern Islamic style that reflects the sanctity of the site.

Sabri added that the project is 70% complete and is expected to be finalized soon. It will join the series of service facilities provided by the shrine during major religious occasions and regular visitation days, contributing to visitor comfort and enhancing their spiritual and service experience within the holy sanctuary.
