Zainabi Hawza resumes activities in Sayyida Zainab area

The Zainabi Hawza in Sayyida Zainab, Damascus, resumed its religious and academic activities on the first of Holy Rajab, celebrating Imam Al-Baqir’s birth.

Hujjat al-Islam Sheikh Hassan Al-Shahristani, the Hawza’s director, confirmed the reopening with classes beginning on Thursday. The event featured Quranic recitation, speeches emphasizing the Hawza’s role in spreading Islamic knowledge, and its resilience amid Syria’s changing political landscape.

Founded by Ayatollah Martyr Sayyid Hassan Al-Shirazi, the Hawza remains a key center for disseminating Ahlulbayt teachings.
