An Iraqi security source revealed that 13 people were martyred and wounded in an attack on north-eastern Diyala province.
“An explosive device exploded, followed by shooting at houses in the village of Al-Haziniyah in Al-Muqdadiya district, northeast of Diyala province,” the source said, in a statement followed by the Shia Waves Agency.
It added, “The attack resulted in the death of eight people and the wounding of five others.” Diyala frequently sees terrorist attacks, which cause kill and and wound security forces and other civilians.
