Truck crashes into New Orleans crowd, leaving 10 dead and 30 injured

At least 10 people were killed and 30 injured after a truck plowed into a crowd at the intersection of Canal and Bourbon Street in New Orleans on Wednesday, according to the city’s emergency preparedness agency, NOLA Ready.

Authorities described the incident as a mass casualty event and urged the public to avoid the area. Witnesses reported that the truck was traveling at high speed before crashing into the crowd.

According to news reports, the driver reportedly exited the vehicle and began firing a weapon, prompting police to return fire. New Orleans police and emergency services are responding to the scene, with investigations ongoing.
