The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has reported the discovery of three new mass graves in the village of al-Qabu in Homs countryside, containing the remains of 20 unidentified individuals believed to have been forcibly disappeared during the rule of the former regime.
Earlier, on December 23, another mass grave was uncovered in Homs city, holding over 1,200 unidentified bodies likely buried during the same period.
Since the fall of the regime in Syria, nine mass graves have been documented, with the remains of 1,475 victims recovered. These include two graves in Daraa with 127 bodies, three in Damascus countryside with 128 bodies, and four in Homs holding 1,220 bodies.
