Experts highlight Arabic language’s role in cultural exchange at French event

Arabic and French language experts gathered in France this week to emphasize the Arabic language’s essential role in bridging cultures and facilitating intellectual exchange.

Speaking at the Arabic Language Month event, key speakers highlighted Arabic’s contribution to preserving Greek philosophy, mathematics, and sciences, underscoring shared linguistic and cultural bonds between Arabic and French.

Jack Lang, secretary-general of the Arab World Institute, praised Arabic as a “global language” that has historically linked civilizations. Activities celebrating Arabic Language Month will continue across France in November, fostering further cross-cultural dialogue and learning.
