Grand Ayatollah Shirazi: Holy Prophet’s government was based on peace and mercy despite challenges
The Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Al-Husseini Al-Shirazi, highlighted the state of serenity and tranquility the Islamic nation experienced during the rule of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his family, noting that the Prophet’s government was an ideal model of justice and mercy despite the significant internal and external challenges.
On the blessed birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet, the Grand Marja said, “There is no accurate and reliable history that shows the Messenger of Allah insulting even a single person, despite the thousands of internal and external problems his government faced.”
His Eminence explained that these challenges did not affect the values of mercy that the Holy Prophet embodied and had no negative impact on his behavior or his interaction with the people of the nation.
Grand Ayatollah Shirazi also noted that the Prophet Muhammad established a government in which no one lived in fear or anxiety of the authority. He said, “There was not a single person who spent a night of their life in worry or wakefulness out of fear of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, or his government.”
He pointed out that the government of the Prophet was built on the principles of justice and tranquility, where citizens felt peace and security despite the many difficulties the emerging Islamic state faced.
