Religious scholars participate in Fatimid mourning processions in Qom
The holy city of Qom, south of the Iranian capital, Tehran, hosted large mourning processions on the martyrdom anniversary of the daughter of Prophet Muhammad, Lady Fatima al-Zahraa, peace be upon her.
The processions witnessed the participation of the religious authority, His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Wahid al-Khorasani, and large groups of scholars, virtuous people, and general believers.
The mourning processions set out towards the holy shrine of Lady Fatima al-Masouma, peace be upon her, to offer condolences.
It is worth mentioning that the procession is an annual ritual that the Shias of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, organize, with the participation of His Eminence Al-Khorasani and groups of scholars, virtuous people and believers, in commemoration of the martyrdom of Lady al-Zahraa, peace be upon her, according to the narrations of 95 days.
