These AI-created entities simulate terrorist behavior and seek to lure vulnerable individuals into extremist organizations.
By leveraging chatbots and AI-driven tools, extremists can enhance their recruitment efforts through tailored, interactive communication with potential recruits.
Experts caution that AI advancements allow extremists to customize their messaging to align with individuals’ online behaviors, thereby increasing the impact of their propaganda and complicating efforts to prevent radicalization.
