Two individuals injured in car bombing in northern Moscow

A car explosion in northern Moscow left two people injured and a residential building badly damaged, news reports said on Wednesday.

The car’s 49-year-old driver was injured immediately after getting into the vehicle, while a woman sustained facial injuries. Both were transported to the hospital for treatment.

Security services continue to work at the scene, and medical teams are providing necessary assistance to the injured.

The explosion shattered windows in several floors of the adjacent building and damaged parked cars.

Russian news agencies, citing the Kommersant newspaper, reported that one of the injured is an officer from Russian military intelligence.

Initial information suggests that the explosion was caused by an explosive device planted in the car.
