Two extremists burn copy of Holy Quran in front of Grand Mosque of Stockholm on Eid al-Fitr

Reports from Sweden indicated that two individuals, a man and a woman, burned a copy of the Holy Quran in front of the Grand Mosque of Stockholm on the first day of Eid al-Fitr.

This incident occurred after they obtained permission from the police to hold a public demonstration, the reports said.

In a press release issued by the Stockholm Mosque, they expressed their extreme dismay and deep disappointment at the decision of the police to grant permission to burn a copy of the Quran in front of the mosque on the day of Eid.

The mosque emphasized that this incident comes in the context of escalating attacks and assaults against Muslims in Sweden.

The statement also mentioned a series of hate crimes targeting the mosque in recent months, including breaking its windows and painting anti-Muslim symbols on its walls.
