Office of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi publishes amount of Zakat al-Fitr for different countries 2024
The office of the Supreme Religious Authority Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, has published a notice to announce the amount of Zakat al-Fitr for Ramadan 1445 AH – 2024 for each individual.
According to the announcement, the amount of Zakat al-Fitr in exchange for flour in different countries of the world is as follows: Iraq 2,000 dinars, Iran 28000 rials, Kuwait 1.5 dinars, Bahrain 2 dinars, Syria 18,000 liras, Lebanon 200,000 liras, Oman 2 rials, Yemen 900 rials, Afghanistan 100 afghani, India 100 rupees, Pakistan 425 rupees, Turkey 150 liras.
In Azerbaijan 5 manats, Australia $15, US $10, Canada $10, Brazil 20 reals, Britain £6, France €9, Netherlands €9, Greece €5, Germany €9, Finland €10, Ireland €9, Belgium €9, Denmark 65 Krones, Sweden 100 kronas, Norway 120 krones, Switzerland 6 francs, Cameroon 1500 franc, Niger 3000 francs, Tanzania 9000 shillings, Madagascar 10000 ariary.
According to the narrations of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, Zakat al-Fitr is obligatory as it purifies the bodies and souls.
