First Holy Quran translated into Dusun language displayed during official ceremony in Malaysia
In Malaysia, the first translation of the Holy Quran into the Dusun language was presented during an official ceremony in the Kota Kinabalu region of Sabah state.
Nicholas Siluster, the head of the Islamic organization in the Kadazan Dusun Murut region of Malaysia, announced that 10,000 free copies of the new translation have been distributed, with another 50,000 copies to be printed.
Efforts to translate the Quran into the Dusun language began 20 years ago, using the standard Dusun language in the translation.
The organization plans to continue translating other Islamic works to enhance Islamic civilization in Sabah state, Malaysia.
The Dusun language is used in certain areas of Malaysia and Brunei, particularly in Sabah state.
