Shia Muslims in Madagascar hold special programs to honor blessed month of Ramadan
Shia Muslims in the city of Majunga, Madagascar, celebrated the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan. The office of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi in the city held special ceremonies to honor the arrival of the month of God.
The director of the office, Hujjat al-Islam Sheikh Mohammad Rida Wasram, told Shia Waves Agency: “The office organized special ceremonies and events to welcome the holy month of Ramadan, amid active participation from the followers of Ahlulbayt.”
Sheikh Wasram explained that “the activities included highlighting important aspects of the recommendations of His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Shirazi regarding the month of Ramadan, as well as explaining the duties and responsibilities of religious preachers in guiding and reforming people.”
The religious event was concluded by distributing food baskets to more than 150 Shia families in the city.
