Two wildfires in southern France prompted the evacuation of several thousand people before being contained, officials reported on Monday.
Around 3,000 tourists were moved from a camping site in Canet-en-Roussillon, close to Perpignan, to a municipal building due to a fire fueled by strong winds, according to rescue services.
The fire, which destroyed one mobile home and partially damaged five others, was eventually brought under control.
Further along the Mediterranean coast, another fire in Frontignan, near Montpellier, forced dozens from their homes before it was also contained.
