Toronto Halal Food Festival Returns to Nathan Phillips Square

Toronto’s annual Toronto Halal Bites festival will enliven Nathan Phillips Square from May 16 to 18, offering three days of culinary and cultural experiences, Toronto.com reported. The event brings together the city’s finest halal food vendors alongside live entertainment, interactive exhibits, and artistic displays celebrating Muslim traditions.

This year’s expanded programming includes a live cooking show featuring renowned halal chefs, cultural performances representing diverse global communities, and an artisan market with over 50 vendors. Family-friendly activities and an art gallery will complement the food offerings, creating an inclusive atmosphere for all attendees.

Building on last year’s success, which attracted more than 15,000 visitors, the 2025 edition introduces 30% additional food vendors. Festival director Amina Khan emphasized the event’s broader mission, stating, “This is more than a food festival—it’s a celebration of Toronto’s multicultural fabric.” Admission remains free to encourage widespread participation.
