World Shirazi Foundation releases a message on blessed Eid al-Fitr
The World Shirazi Foundation has extended its congratulations to the Islamic nation and the world on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, urging leaders of nations and Islamic peoples to adopt a set of important demands aimed at promoting stability and prosperity in their countries.
In its message received by Shia Waves Agency, the foundation stated that it “calls for a general amnesty for prisoners of conscience, journalists, and political opponents, with the aim of promoting national reconciliation and enhancing social peace,” calling for the promotion of democratic principles and encouraging freedom of expression, diversity, and respect for human rights.
The foundation demanded “the dropping of criminal sanctions against those convicted in commercial and economic cases, and called for the release of detainees serving sentences for minor offenses, in order to give them a chance to repent and improve their conditions.”
In its message, the foundation emphasized “the importance of enhancing diplomatic relations between Islamic countries, resolving conflicts based on the principles of Islamic brotherhood and common destiny,” urging all to “respect international laws and refrain from interfering in the affairs of other countries.”
The message further stated that the foundation “works to combat extremist ideology and terrorism through political, social, and economic measures, with the aim of spreading moderate thinking among the people of Islamic nations.”
In conclusion, the foundation renewed its call “to enhance efforts to improve the living standards of citizens in their countries, and ensure the realization of all citizens’ rights in political participation, healthcare, education, and other legal and constitutional rights.”
