Ahlulbayt followers continue walking towards Holy Samarra to commemorate martyrdom anniversary of Imam al-Hassan al-Askari
The loyal followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, continue their walk towards the holy shrine of Imam al-Hassan al-Askari, peace be upon him, in the holy city of Samarra to commemorate his painful martyrdom anniversary.
Shia Waves correspondent said that the roads leading to Holy Samarra have been packed with pilgrims from various Iraqi provinces and service processions are now set up to provide the mourners with food, water and places for rest.
He added that “the Askariyya Shrine has prepared special activities to commemorate this sorrowful occasion such as holding mourning ceremonies and providing the honorable pilgrims with various services.”
He emphasized that “visiting the holy shrines of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, is a ritual that Shia Muslims are committed to performing around the year to renew their pledge of allegiance to the Holy Prophet and his pure family, peace be upon them.”
