Banner of Imam Ali hoisted in center of Najaf to mark his honorable birth anniversary
The banner of the Commander of the Faithful – Imam Ali, peace be upon him, was hoisted in the middle of the holy city of Najaf as birth anniversary of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, draws near.
A number of public figures and loyal followers of AhlulBayet, peace be upon them, attended the banner hoisting ceremony held on Tuesday in Holy Najaf in preparation for the honorable birth anniversary of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, which is on the 13th of the month of Rajab.
The General Secretariat of Imam Ali Holy Shrine said in a statement received by Shia Waves Agency that, “Today we raise the flag of benevolence and blessing to evoke all the noble and eternal meanings of the great man of Islam, peace be upon him.”
It is worth mentioning that the Supreme Religious Authority – Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, recommends Muslims to revive this honorable occasion from the 11th until the 14th of Rajab to covey to the world this great personality.
