London sees 43rd Hossein annual gathering in commemoration of Holy Arba’een
London, the capital of England, witnessed the largest gathering of the followers of Ahlul-Bayt (peace be upon them) on the occasion of Hosseini Arbaeen.
“This 43rd annual gathering in London is known as the largest Islamic gathering of Muslims in Europe, which was attended by a large number of Shiites of the Ahlul-Bayt (peace be upon them) and members of the Muslim community,” said a statement by the organizers of the event.
The statement, which highlighted the presence of mourners from all walks of life, also read: “The purpose of holding this large gathering is to introduce to the whole world Imam Hussain (peace be upon him), his important values, the oppressions he suffered, the sacrifices he made, and critical facts surrounding the eternal event of Ashura.”
According to Shia Waves Agency, this peaceful humanitarian gathering was covered by various media, and included various religious and cultural programs, such as recitation of religious poems and virtues of Ahlul-Bayt, peace be upon them, serving food and drink to the participants and distributing more to people, as well as discussion groups around relevant topics.
