AhlulBayet Foundation in Iraq’s Basra forms committee to meet needs of students of Islamic sciences
The Ahl al-Bayt Cultural and Charitable Foundation in Basra city announced the formation of a special committee concerned with students of religious sciences, with the aim of creating a communicative atmosphere among them and to consolidate their collective efforts in delivering message and teachings of AhlulBayet, peace be upon them.
In an interview with Shia Waves Agency, the Foundation said: “Based on the directives of the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, and his recommendations to meet needs of the students of religious sciences, the Foundation decided to form a special committee fulfil this mission.”
The Foundation added that, “The committee formed in response to frequent requests from the students of religious sciences in Basra on the necessity of collective work to best serve AhlulBayet and deliver their message and teachings.”
The Foundation stated that “The first meeting of the Foundation discussed the framework of the committee and its responsibilities, and chose Sheikh Ali al-Shanan head of the committee.”
