With hearts heavy in grief, Shias worldwide commemorate sorrowful martyrdom of Sayyeda Fatima al-Zahra

The Holy Shrine of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, in Holy Najaf has been covered in black in commemoration of the sorrowful martyrdom anniversary of Sayyeda Fatima al-Zahra, peace be upon her, according to the ninety-five-day narration.

Shia Waves correspondent in the holy city said today, the 3rd of Jumada al-Thani, that “the Secretariat-General of the holy shrine has placed black banners of sadness and sorrow over the walls and prepared special mourning programs to commemorate this tragedy of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them.”

He added that “the Shia followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, from various Iraqi provinces and other countries have been converging on the holy city to offer their condolences on this sorrowful occasion.”

In Holy Karbala, the holy shrines of Imam Hussein and Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them) have also been covered in black banners to mark the painful martyrdom of Sayyeda Fatima al-Zahra, peace be upon her.

It should be noted that Imam Hussein Media Group will be live-broadcasting the mourning ceremonies and processions of Sayyeda Fatima al-Zahra’s martyrdom from Holy Najaf.

Mourners reaffirmed their commitment to commemorate and keep alive the painful martyrdom anniversaries of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, to reveal the oppression and injustice they suffered, and to introduce their legacies to the entire world.
