The Bahraini Ministry of Interior announced that a prisoner in Jaw Central Prison had been infected with the Coronavirus, indicating that it had quarantined those in contact with him.
The Ministry said, “The General Administration for Reform and Rehabilitation has taken the followed health measures, after discovering that one of the inmates was infected with the Coronavirus, as he underwent a medical examination after a noticeable increase in his temperature, explaining that his case is currently being followed up by the Health Affairs Department.”
It added, “The inmate underwent 14 days of quarantine, and was examined before entering the Correction and Rehabilitation Center in (Jaw), indicating that upon discovering his infection, he was transferred to a designated field hospital, and inmates and police personnel in contact with him were examined and isolated for a period of 14 days.”
