Karbala Provincial Council confirms registration of 50 Hussaini Mawakib for non-Muslims
Deputy chairman of Karbala Provincial Council, Mahfoud Al-Tamimi, announced on Sunday that 50 Hussaini Mawakib from non-Islamic religions and various ethnicities have been registered during the Holy Arbaeen Pilgrimage.
In a televised interview followed by Shia Waves Agency, Al-Tamimi stated that “the number of pilgrims is estimated in the millions, with 3.25 million foreign pilgrims, the majority of whom are from Iran, having entered Karbala by noon on Saturday.”
He mentioned that the visas granted to visitors from outside Iraq are specifically for the Arbaeen Pilgrimage and will expire once the pilgrimage concludes, regardless of whether they are Iranians or from other countries.
According to Al-Tamimi, these Mawakib reflect the humanitarian dimension of Imam Hussein’s Revolution, which did not target a specific sect but rather stood for justice against oppression.
