A number of pilgrims from the Republic of South Africa expressed their happiness to visit the holy shrines of Imam Hussein and his brother Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas, peace be upon them, in Holy Karbala, confirming that a large number of people from their country from various Muslim sects wish to visit the holy shrines in Iraq.
Mufti Ibrahim Mahdi al-Din said in a statement to Noon News Agency, viewed by Shia WavesAgency, that “We are very happy today to be honored to visit the pure shrines of Hussein and al-Abbas, peace be upon them, as well as the shrines of other Imams in other Iraqi cities,” confirming that “this is our first visit to the holy shrines.”
With his his filled with tears, the Mufti said: “I feel something important in my life and I feel strength, happiness, self-interaction, and great sympathy since I arrived at this place, adding that “more Shia followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, are willing to come for the holy shrines.”
Regarding their ritual activities in their country, he explained that “they have an annual program in every month of Muharram to establish the rituals of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, in South Africa for ten consecutive days with the participation of Muslims from various sects.”
