Non-Violence Organization calls for urgent action to protect civilians in Sudan

The Global Non-Violence Organization—Freemuslim—has called for an urgent and rapid intervention to save innocent civilians in Sudan from the ongoing fighting between the army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

The organization indicated in a statement received by Shia Waves Agency that the Rapid Support Forces committed brutal murders and rapes against women and children, in addition to forced displacement of civilians in large areas of the capital.

The organization warned of a comprehensive humanitarian catastrophe if the conflict continues as it is, calling on the Arab League and the Organization of the Islamic Conference to take urgent action to save the innocent people in Sudan.

It should be noted that the ongoing conflict has displaced more than seven million people, left Khartoum in ruins, caused a humanitarian crisis and triggered ethnically driven killings in Darfur.
