Ibn Fahad al-Hilli Seminary launces service activities in Basra province during Arbaeen season
Special field activities have begun to serve the honorable pilgrims of Arbaeen, said an announcement by Sheikh Ahmad ibn Fahad al-Hilli Seminary (may Allah bless his soul), a Karbala-based center affiliated to Shia Marja Grand Ayatollah Shirazi.
“A large scholarly delegation, including students and distinguished clerics, visited Basra province in southern Iraq as representatives of this seminary in order to implement religious and preaching programs for Arbaeen pilgrimage,” the statement further notes.
“The delegation has visited a number of mawakib, and has walked alongside millions of Arbaeen pilgrims in the massive walk of Arbaeen,” said Sheikh Montazer Shahrestani, director of the Sheikh Ahmad ibn Fahad al-Hilli Seminary, in an interview with the Shia Waives Agency.
“In these meetings, after conveying the special greetings and prayers of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi, the delegation explained the directives of the Marja for doing any service possible to the Master of the Martyrs, peace be upon him, especially through service to the holders of Hosseini mawakib and on-foot pilgrims walking towards the holy city of Karbala,” Shahrestani noted in the end.
