On the occasion of the World Youth Skills Day, the Secretary General of the United Nations has emphasized quality education and described the acquisition of skills a necessity for the young generation.
It must be ensured that teachers receive the training and professional development needed to help young people’s transition from school to the workplace, Antonio Guterres said in his tweet.
In 2014, the United Nations General Assembly declared July 15 as the World Youth Skills Day to celebrate the strategic importance of equipping young people with skills for employment, decent work and entrepreneurship.
