Holy Karbala illuminated on beginning of Dhul-Hijjah

With the arrival of the month of Dhul-Hijjah and the marriage anniversary of Amir al-Momineen (peace be upon him) and Sayyidah Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her), the holy city of Karbala was flooded with light and joy.

The attendants of the sacred shrines of Imam Hussain and Abalfazl al-Abbas, peace be upon them, also lit up Bayn al-Haramayn with colored lights at the Maghrib call to prayer, elevating the mood of this piece of heaven.

Pilgrims also sent salutation to Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and Sayyidah Zahra (peace be upon her) on the anniversary of their heavenly union from within the shrines.
Mawakib were set up around the shrines, and distributed food, milk and syrup to the pilgrims.
