Iraq: Army Chief-of-Staff holds elaborate conference ahead of Mid-Sha’aban Pilgrimage

The Chief of Staff of the Iraqi Army, Lieutenant General Abd al-Amir Yar Allah, held an elaborate conference in the holy city of Karbala, in preparation for the Mid-Sha`ban Pilgrimage, the anniversary of the birth of Imam al-Mahdi (may God Almighty hasten his honorable reappearance).

Karabal Police Media said in a statement received by Shia Waves Agency that the conference was held at the headquarters of the Karbala Operations Command, which was attended by top officials.

Yarallah stressed the need to provide the best services to the honorable pilgrims in coordination and cooperation with the rest of the state institutions and service processions that will participate in the revival of this blessed occasion.
