International site includes holy Karbala in its list of the holiest sites in the Islamic religion

The international “Grunge” website, which specializes in publishing general reports and statistics, has included the holy city of Karbala in its list of the holiest sites in the Islamic religion.

The US-based site said, in a special report, that “the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) in the Iraqi city of Karbala is an enormously sacred place for Shia Muslims,” ​​adding, in the context of its report, quoting the world-famous Britannica Encyclopedia, that “Al-Hussain was martyred in Karbala in the year (680 AD), which made him a martyr for the Muslims of the followers of the Ahlulbayt (peace be upon them) forever.”

The report added that “after the martyrdom of the Prophet’s grandson (peace be upon him), Muslims began to visit his grave in a ritual manner, and the city of Karbala was built around him for his lovers and loyalists from all over the world to flock to him alongside his father’s grave, the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) in holy Najaf.”
