Believers commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Ruqayya at her holy shrine in Damascus

Large crowds of believers commemorated the martyrdom anniversary of Lady Ruqayya, daughter of Imam Hussein (peace be upon them), at her holy shrine in the Syrian capital, Damascus.

Crowds of followers of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, flocked from inside the country and from Iraq, Iran and various countries to commemorate the painful memory of the martyrdom of Lady Ruqayya, peace be upon her.

The holy shrine hosted many different events and practices of mourning, including delivering religious lectures telling the blessed biography of Lady Ruqayya, peace be upon her.

The events also included the establishment of a theatrical show that embodies the injustice and aggression that took place by the enemies of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, against the daughter of Imam Hussein, peace be upon them.
