Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir al-Najafi: We must adhere to Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and defend the doctrine of Shiism

The religious authority, His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir al-Najafi, stressed that it is necessary to adhere to the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) and to his approach and morals and defend the doctrine of Shiism.

His Eminence said, during a meeting with a group of pilgrims from inside and outside the country, that the Ghadir event is very important, and our teachers in the seminary were emphasizing on the importance of reviving this particular event, explaining the necessity of interaction between the heart and the mind during the pilgrimage and meditating on the words and phrases of the Imam (peace be upon him).

“I did not find in history a person as loyal as the Prophet, except for the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon them), recalling his great courage and heroic stances in the pivotal battles of Islam, the danger of the upheaval that Islam was subjected to after the martyrdom of the Greatest Messenger (peace be upon him and his progeny) and the positions that the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) faced at the hands of the hypocrites to achieve their own interests.
