Shia Waves publishes old telegram from Iran’s PM to Grand Ayatollah Muhammad Taqi al-Shirazi

Shia Waves News Agency published an old telegram from the Prime Minister of Iran to the Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Muhammad Taqi al-Shirazi, may Allah bless his soul, in which he shows his willingness to intervene in the Iraqi revolution against British colonialism.

News agencies circulated what was mentioned in the book (The Holy Karbala in the Documents of the Iraqi Revolution 1920), by the author Kamel Salman al-Jubouri, that a telegram from the Prime Minister of Iran reached the religious authority and leader of the 1920Iraqi revolution, Muhammad Taqi al-Shirazi, showing his willingness to intervene in the Iraqi revolution against British colonialism.

The telegram was written in 1919, and it said: “His Excellency, Ayatollah Sayyid Mirza Muhammad Taqi, I finally saw from Ahwaz the discomfort of your blessed existence. We pray to Allah to keep you in good health. Accept our gratitude and thanks. We pray to Allah to keep the Muslims’ prosperity. Command us with whatever you please. We pray to Allah to guide us to your directives”.
