More than 1000 Arab and foreign journalists covered the Arbaeen Pilgrimage in Karbala
The Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain, peace be upon him, announced the participation of more than 1,000 journalists from Arab and foreign countries in the media coverage of the Arbaeen Pilgrimage in Karbala.
The Assistant Secretary-General of the Holy Shrine, Afdhal al-Shami, said in a statement that journalists from the USA, Britain, France, Germany, Canada, China, Turkey, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Bahrain, Lebanon, Kuwait and Syria, in addition to Iraqi journalists, participated in the media coverage of the pilgrimage.
Al-Shami added that the media coverage of the event began on the 10th of Safar.
He explained that the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine provided accommodation, food, internet and live broadcasting services for the journalists.
Al-Shami praised “the great role played by the media in transmitting the pilgrimage to the whole world and disseminating its concepts of generosity, courage, nobility, dedication and sincerity offered by the Iraqi people.”
