Eight fighters killed and wounded in ISIS attack in Diyala

Eight Iraqi fighters were martyred and wounded in an ISIS attack in Diyala, which lasted for hours at dawn today.
A statement by the Popular Mobilization Directorate stated, “The forces of the 28th Brigade, on Thursday, ended the terrorist attack launched by the remnants of ISIS north of Khanaqin district in Diyala province, and managed to defeat the terrorist elements.”
It added, “The attack resulted in the martyrdom of three and the wounding of five others.”
The forces of the 28th Brigade had earlier responded to an attack by ISIS terrorists, north of Khanaqin.
