Free Muslim sends message on the International Day of Nonviolence

The International Nonviolence Organization, Free Muslim, sent a message on the International Day of Nonviolence, calling for civil peace and the principle of renouncing violence in all its forms to be given utmost importance to promote security and a decent life for all people.
The organization said in its message, received by Shiawaves, “The international community marks the 2nd of October as the International Day of Nonviolence, in the midst of exceptional and compelling unprecedented circumstances, during which many challenges faced mankind in general. Humanity is witnessing a double threat that targets the inhabitants of the world in all cases without distinction between race, belief or ethnicity, whose threats, God forbid, reach catastrophic levels that humanity has never faced before.”
The message added, “The Covid-19 pandemic is sweeping through humanity, leaving painful and dangerous repercussions that, if not resorting to innovative solutions to address them, may lead to consequences that threaten nations and states alike, especially with the economic deterioration that afflicted most societies and the decline in the standard of living that has withdrawn from it. The danger of the matter is the political and military conflicts that may result from these repercussions, which are now looming on the horizon at the level of the international community.”
The message pointed out that “while military conflicts and bloody wars have erupted years ago, especially in the regions of the Middle East, and currently in some parts of Europe, Asia and Africa, as well as a serious threat to civil peace and internal security in the American continent, this challenge for humanity calls for resorting to the language of reason and the tolerant teachings of the true Islamic religion and its ideal principles in human interaction in various circumstances.”
Free Muslim referred to the calls of the Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq Husseini al-Shirazi on the importance of attaching utmost importance to civil peace and the principle of renouncing violence in all its forms.
