Five people were injured in a terrorist attack against a convoy of Pakistani Shia pilgrims in Pakistan.

The terrorist attack took place in Quetta, Balochistan, on Thursday, according to IQNA dispatches.

Three security forces and two civilians sustained injuries when a remote-controlled bomb went off in one of the city’s streets as the convoy passed.

The pilgrims, who are from Sukkur in Sindh province, were on their way to visit the holy shrine of Imam Redha, peace be upon him, in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad.

Three Shia Muslims were martyred in May 2015 in a similar attack on the pilgrims of the Eighth Imam in Quetta.

Meanwhile the attack was claimed by Sipah-e-Sahaba terrorist group.
