Quranic Society of Wasit province, has been selected as the provisional president of the union
Natiq al-Zarkani, the head of the Quranic Society of Wasit province, has been selected as the provisional president of the union, according to reports.
The election was established in the second meeting of the heads of Quranic societies in the city of Al-Diwaniyah.
The meeting was organized under the title of, “Quran, Supporter of Volunteer Fighters” and discussed different issues related to Quranic societies, agreeing to a plan to establish a union of Iraqi Quranic societies.
It is worth mentioning that Quranic activities have significantly grown in Iraq since the 2003 overthrow of former dictator Saddam Hussein.
