Shia Muslims in the Nigerian cities of Kano, Kaduna and Zaria began the annual mourning gathering for the martyrdom of grandson of the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him and his progeny, on Thursday 15th of October, 2015.
The mourning comprises eulogies, drama depicting Ashura tragedy and lectures about the battle of Karbala.
