Karbala Residents Hold Husseini Candlelight Procession on Evening of 10th of Muharram

Residents of the holy city of Karbala organized the Husseini candlelight procession to commemorate the Night of Loneliness on the evening of the 10th of Muharram.

The procession, attended by a large number of mourners, moved toward the shrines of Imam Hussein and his brother Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas, peace be upon them, passing through the area between the two holy shrines.

The mourners recalled the painful tragedies that befell Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, his family, and his companions in the Battle of Karbala, amid an atmosphere of deep grief and sorrow.

Staff members of the holy shrines and Husseini processions provided the necessary organizational and logistical services to ensure the success of the procession and the commemoration of this sorrowful night.
