Shia Communities in Moscow and Stockholm Mark Fatimiyya with Large Memorial Gatherings
————————————–
Shia communities in both Moscow and Stockholm held solemn ceremonies commemorating the Fatimiyya period, honoring the martyrdom anniversary of Sayyida Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her), the daughter of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his pure family).

In Moscow, followers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) gathered in large numbers at the Sajjadiyya Hussainiya, where the annual Fatimiyya programs were observed with notable participation from local Shia residents. According to Shia Waves Agency, speakers highlighted the historical injustices faced by the Prophet’s household, especially the suffering endured by Lady Fatima—events regarded as among the most painful chapters in Islamic history. Organizers noted that the commemorations aim to preserve the memory of her oppression, strengthen communal identity, and pass on the spiritual legacy of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) to future generations. They described the ceremonies as a message that transcends borders, reaffirming the steadfastness of Shia communities worldwide in upholding the principles Sayyida Fatima (peace be upon her) embodied: truth, steadfastness, and loyalty to divine values.

Similarly, in Stockholm, Sweden, the Imam Hasan al-Mujtaba Hussainiya—one of the centers associated with the Supreme Marja—held a memorial gathering marking the martyrdom anniversary. The event drew members of the local Shia community and followers of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). Scholar Seyyed Ahmad Ashkouri delivered a keynote lecture, detailing aspects of Sayyida Fatima’s life, virtues, and the hardships she endured, emphasizing her central role in Islamic history and her spiritual stature.

Together, the ceremonies in Moscow and Stockholm reflect the transnational nature of Fatimiyya commemorations and the continued devotion of Shia communities worldwide to honoring the legacy of Sayyida Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her).
