Shia in Montreal Host Commemoration of Martyrdom of Sayyida Fatimah (peace be upon her)
————————————
The Shia community in Montreal gathered this week to commemorate the martyrdom of Sayyida Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her) at the Global Center of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi and the Iranian Islamic Center.
The ceremony began with a symbolic spread in honor of Sayyida Fatimah (peace be upon her), featuring prayers and supplications, followed by congregational prayers.
The event continued with the recitation of verses from the Quran by Ustad Rezaei and the recitation of Hadith al-Kisa by Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Seyed Musa Fali.
Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Sheikh Saleh Sibaway delivered a lecture highlighting the high spiritual status of Sayyida Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her) before God, the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his pure family), and the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them). He emphasized her pivotal role in the universe and discussed the hardships and trials she endured.
The program also included a marthiya (lamentation) performed by Mirza Ahmad Sibeway, and concluded with refreshments for attendees.
The event is part of ongoing cultural and religious activities organized by the Global Center of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi and the Iranian Islamic Center in Montreal, aimed at preserving the memory of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and promoting their teachings within the community.
