The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights documented 315 deaths in Syria during September 2025, including 271 civilians, comprising 219 men and young men, 20 women, and 32 children. The monitoring group said violence and clashes continue across the country despite efforts to reach ceasefires, describing temporary truces as brief “respite” periods between warring factions.

The Observatory urged international actors to intensify efforts to halt civilian casualties and promote a lasting peace that ensures democracy, freedom, justice, and equality for all Syrians. It reaffirmed its commitment to documenting massacres, violations, and crimes against humanity, publishing statistics on human losses, and supporting the prosecution of perpetrators in international courts to prevent impunity.
