Firefighters Struggle to Contain Wildfires on Syrian Coast
————————————-
Wildfires in northern Syria, including the provinces of Latakia, Hama, and Tartus, have continued to rage for a fifth consecutive day. According to the Shia News Agency, citing the BBC, strong winds and the rough terrain have limited access for firefighting teams, delaying efforts to contain the blazes.

Residents of Al-Haidariya and Anab villages have been relying on community assistance to control the flames, which have created thick smoke, making it difficult for people to breathe. Homes and agricultural lands are at risk of destruction.

Some citizens have accused the al-Julani government of deliberately neglecting firefighting efforts. The United Nations and other regional countries are working to provide relief and assistance. The fires have also displaced hundreds of families, adding to the humanitarian concerns in the region.
