New Mosque Opens in Bosnia as a Symbol of Unity
—————————–
A new mosque has officially opened in the city of Bosanska Krupa, following a three-year effort. According to the Shia Waves Agency, citing Alukah, the project was a joint effort between local residents and was supervised by the Council of the Islamic Community.
Dr. Husein Kavazovic, the Grand Mufti of Bosnia, described the mosque as “the beating heart of the Muslim community and a school for ethics.” The construction of the mosque began in 2021 and its foundation stone was laid in 2022. Sheikh Mohammed Kadich emphasized that the new building is a symbol of the generosity of the people and the unity of faith across generations. The new mosque is set to replace the old, unusable one.
