Pakistani Scholar: Imam Hussain’s Uprising Revived True Islam

Renowned Pakistani orator Hujjat al-Islam Syed Shahanshah Hussain Naqvi recently stated that Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) was the true reviver of Islam and the eternal conscience of humanity, Abna news agency reported. Speaking at the 53rd annual Youm al-Hussain (peace be upon him) ceremony, Naqvi asserted that without Imam Hussain’s historic uprising, the essence of Islam would have been lost.

Naqvi emphasized that Imam Hussain’s stand in Karbala was a divine intervention that preserved the true teachings of Islam through the ultimate sacrifice of his life and his companions.

Professor Dr. Mahnaz Khakwani, President of Nishtar University of Medical Sciences, also spoke, highlighting Karbala as a living school of freedom and resilience that inspires the perseverance of the Palestinian people. The ceremony concluded with a collective reaffirmation to keep the message of Ashura alive, underscoring Imam Hussain’s enduring impact on global conscience and freedom movements.
