First Pilgrimage Group Departs India for Holy Karbala Amid Regional Tensions
………………….

Early Saturday, the first group of Indian pilgrims departed Mumbai Airport for Holy Karbala to mark the start of Muharram and commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him). The journey, delayed by regional instability, resumed as tearful pilgrims recited prayers of gratitude, calling their safe departure a blessing from the revered Imam.

Despite rising tensions in the region, the pilgrims said no borders can block Hussain’s call, describing the journey as a divine summons that must be answered. After landing in Holy Najaf, the caravan will visit the holy shrines in Holy Karbala, reaffirming their devotion and sacrifice at the sacred sites that continue to inspire freedom and resilience across generations.
