Three far-right extremists convicted over plot to attack UK mosques

A UK court has convicted three far-right extremists—Brogan Stewart, Marco Pizzuto, and Christopher Ringrose—of planning violent attacks on mosques and Islamic institutions in England. The men aimed to ignite a “race war,” according to counter-terrorism investigators in northeast England.

Operating online under the name “The Resistance,” the group shared racist content, glorified mass murderers, and targeted Muslim communities. Police raids uncovered over 200 weapons, including machetes, hunting knives, swords, crossbows, and body armor.

Authorities also seized an illegal stun gun and evidence of attempts to build a semi-automatic weapon using 3D printing technology. Investigators found the group admired Nazi ideology and displayed support for the SS. Officials say the trio moved beyond extremist rhetoric to practical preparations for violence.

Counter-terror police praised the operation as a success in preventing potential mass casualties, while prosecutors highlighted the serious threat posed by racially motivated extremism.
