Grand Ayatollah Shirazi highlights God’s pardon upon embracing Islam

During a daily scholarly session of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Hosseini Shirazi held in Shawwal this year, the Supreme Marja emphasized the Almighty Allah’s mercy upon those who embrace Islam.

Grand Ayatollah Shirazi, regarding the principle of embracing Islam wiping away what came before, stated: It is mentioned in jurisprudence that if a person becomes Muslim, all obligations related to what they did or did not do before embracing Islam are removed from them.

His Eminence also emphasized: Just as this principle applies to non-Muslims, it also applies to those who were not believers and then embraced faith. Although this expression is not a direct narration, it is implied and derived from the content of narrations.
